Conservation

We take immense pride in preserving and nurturing the natural wonders of our property. Our 20 acres of old-growth forest is a testament to our commitment to environmental stewardship. In 2013, we made a crucial decision to protect this forest from cattle intrusion, allowing it to regenerate and thrive as a healthy ecosystem. Today, this forest serves as a sanctuary for a variety of critically endangered animals, including the majestic Red-tailed black cockatoos and the elusive Western Ringtail Possums. The diverse array of wildlife here includes quenda, phasogale, possums, kangaroos, and a vibrant bird population. As passionate members of a local wildlife care group, we utilize our forest as a slow-release site for rehabilitated Ringtail Possums, offering them a safe haven to return to their natural habitat.

Our dedication to conservation extends beyond the forest. Three years ago, we enthusiastically enrolled in the Land For Wildlife Scheme, pledging to protect and enhance the natural values of our property. Each year, we plant hundreds of native trees throughout the property, particularly to the north and east of the lake. These efforts not only bolster biodiversity but also enrich the beauty of our surroundings. Additionally, we are committed to sustainable practices, having made the switch to solar power this year. At our luxury villas, you can bask in the embrace of nature, knowing that every aspect of your stay is driven by our profound respect and care for the environment.
