We traded city life for the South West region, initially seeking a 2-acre plot for a tree change. But destiny had grander plans and we ended up purchasing a 136-acre rundown farm. As a teacher and a tradesman we were hardly your standard land owners.  

The property had been on the market for years, and we were the first to explore it in months. Despite its rough appearance, we saw what it had to offer and set about transforming the land to its true potential. Since that day we worked relentlessly, planting thousands of trees, protecting the old growth forest, built a dam and improved buildings, roads, and fences. 

Our long-term vision for the property has always centred around creating a unique short term accommodation experience. The design ideas changed here and there but the location was never in doubt. Absolute water frontage was a must and in 2022, we signed a contract to build four truly remarkable villas. It may have taken longer than planned, but we believe the wait was worthwhile.
