SUMMER ON THE WATER
Forget the busy Resort Pool. You Have the Lake.
Summer at Edge means being able to cool off in pristine freshwater just metres from your villa.
Take the provided beach towels down to the floating timber deck and relax at the water’s edge. Dip in your toes, slip straight into the lake or float beneath the towering trees along the forest side. You may even be joined by one of our curious resident ducks, or swim a lap around the island before heading back to your villa.
The water contains no chlorine or salt and feels beautiful on the skin. With only four adults-only villas at Edge, there is no busy resort pool to share.

Why is the Edge lake so pristine?
We affectionately call it “the pool”.
Three aeration stations continuously oxygenate the lake, while its depth helps the water remain naturally cool through summer. The swimming area is separated from livestock areas and access is reserved for Edge guests.
No chlorine. No salt. Just freshwater.

Sunrise in the Morning. Cool by Afternoon
Every Edge villa has been cleverly oriented to make the most of summer, with thoughtful passive design helping the villas stay naturally comfortable through the warmer months.
Facing east across the lake, mornings begin with the balcony bathed in soft sunrise. Some guests leave the blinds open and let morning wake them naturally, while block-out blinds are there for those who prefer a proper holiday sleep-in.
As the afternoon heats up, the protected balconies move into shade, creating a cooler place to retreat with a book, stretch out in the king hammock or simply watch life on the lake.Enhanced insulation, double glazing, light exterior finishes and construction above Australian building standards all help keep the villas comfortable. The quality of the build was recognised with four WA Master Builders Awards in 2024, including Best in Class.
Every villa also has reverse-cycle air conditioning for the especially hot summer days.

SUMMER ON THE MARGARET RIVER COAST
Beach Hop, Then Come Home to the Lake
Some of the Margaret River Region’s beautiful coastline is only minutes from Edge.
Pack the beach towels provided in your villa and choose a favourite. Moses Rock, Injidup, Smiths Beach and Yallingup are all approximately 5 to 12 minutes away.
Beach hop your way along the coast or choose one beautiful patch of sand and stay awhile.
Our summer tip: head to Injidup Beach early. You’ll often find plenty of space to settle somewhere quiet before the day gets busy.
For sunset, Moses Rock is one of our favourites. Take in the coastal views from the raised carpark or follow the staircase down to the beach for a walk along the sand.
Then come back to Edge, wash off the salt and cool down in the lake.

SUMMER IN THE VINES
Long Lunches and Experiences Made for Sunshine
Summer opens up another side of Margaret River wine country.
Just five minutes from Edge, Fraser Gallop Estate’s seasonal Vines & Wines Experience takes guests through the vineyard by electric buggy, stopping amongst the vines while learning more about the estate and tasting the wines where they are grown.
Edge guests can enjoy the 90-minute experience for $75 per person, reduced from $95, through our Get the Edge Guest Perks.

For long lunches, some of our favourites include Elliott’s at Cullen Wines, Clairault Streicker Vineyard Kitchen and Rustico at Hayshed Hill, or Beerfarm for something more relaxed, with each offering something exclusive for Edge guests through Get the Edge.
There are plenty of other ways to enjoy a sunny day too. Challenge each other to a round at Yallingup Maze & Mini Golf, where Edge guests receive 10% off. Make a small competitive wager and let the loser take the first jump into the Edge lake when you return.

LONG SUMMER EVENINGS
Stay Outside a Little Longer
After a day in the sun, return to the cooler shade of your villa, then head back outside as sunset light changes across the sky and lake.
Pour a glass of something you discovered at a neighbouring winery that day and settle onto your balcony.
Watch the water still and reflect and the wildlife settle around the lake. Then, as daylight disappears, the lights on the bridge, island and villa balconies begin to glow and the view from your villa changes all over again.
Despite being surrounded by water, mosquitoes are rarely an issue around the villas, making summer evenings perfect for lingering outside.

Yes. Guests are welcome to swim in the lake at their own risk. There is no lifeguard on duty.

Yes. Edge Luxury Villas is adults-only. Each villa accommodates two adults, with a maximum of eight guests across the property.

Edge is in Wilyabrup, in the Margaret River Wine Region. It is around 10 minutes from Yallingup, 25 minutes north of Margaret River town and approximately 20 minutes from Dunsborough.

Yes. There are only four standalone villas on the property, with no shared walls or shared outdoor areas.

Couples can explore nearby cellar doors, enjoy long lunches, visit Yallingup and Dunsborough, spend time by the coast or use the Guest Perks collection to discover selected local experiences after booking.

Each villa includes a king bed, freestanding bath, private deck, fully equipped kitchen and lake or forest views. Fireplaces are available during the cooler months, subject to seasonal conditions.
